receive a text message
When you receive a message, your phone
plays an alert, and the display shows New Message
with a message indicator, such as
É
. Press the
Read key to open the message.
To see all of your text messages:
Find it: s > e Messaging > Message Inbox
If a multimedia message contains media objects:
• Photos, pictures, and animations show as you
read the message.
• A sound file plays when its slide shows. Use
the volume keys to adjust the sound volume.
• Attached files are added to the end of the
message. To open an attachment, scroll to the
file indicator/filename and press the View key
(image), Play key (sound), or Open key (address
book vCard, calendar vCalendar entry, or
unknown file type).

Select your IM service provider, then log in.
add contacts
After you log in:
Scroll to a contact, then press Options > Manage
> Add Contact and enter the contact’s information.
start conversation
Press Options > Send Msg To and enter the
recipient’s IM ID.
log out
Press Options > Sign Out.
