The Wireless LAN Access Point
The Wireless LAN Access Point, also called the access point, is designed for building a Wireless LAN environment. If you
purchase an access point, you can easily build a wireless LAN environment by plugging the access point into an AC power
outlet and using the provided software with compatible devices. Because a wireless LAN configuration requires no wiring,
you can operate multiple computers more freely than ever before.
You can also connect an access point to a telephone line, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) router, cable modem,
or Digital Subscriber Line (xDSL) modem to share access to the Internet among multiple computers.
