Troubleshooting
Sound effect does not change even when the “Effect” setting is changed.
When you are using the built-in speaker or when you are listening to the radio
(ICD-UX522F/UX523F only), the effect function is invalid.
When the NOISE CUT switch is set to “ON,” the effect function does not work.
Playback speed is too fast or too slow.
The DPC(SPEED CTRL) switch to “ON,” and the playback speed is adjusted with

Slide the DPC(SPEED CTRL) switch to “OFF” or press or to adjust the
speed in DPC again ( p. 46).
You cannot play back an LPCM file at a speed exceeding 1.00 times the recorded
speed. If you attempt to adjust the playback speed faster than that limit, “NO FAST”
appears in the display window.
Playback sound is not good when a music file is played back.
When you play back a music file with the NOISE CUT switch set to “ON,” playback
sound may be deteriorated.
Set the NOISE CUT switch to “OFF.”
Editing
You cannot divide a file.
You need a certain amount of free space in the memory to divide a file.

other memory media or on your computer.
Because of the system limitations, you may not be able to divide a file at the very
beginning or at the very end of the file.
