Selecting the Display Mode
When you connect an external display, you can toggle the display mode
between the LCD on your computer and an external display.

Click the Start button on the Windows 98 taskbar.

Point to Settings and click Control Panel.

Click Display.

Click the Settings tab.

Click the Advanced button.

Click the NeoMagic ® tab.

Deselect the LCD checkbox.

Assure the CRT/Projector checkbox is selected.

Check Apply.
Display mode Function
Monitor/LCD Displays simultaneously both the LCD and an
external display connected to the Monitor.

You can adjust the refresh rate when you select Monitor as the display mode.
Some displays do not support using both the computer's LCD and an external display
simultaneously.
To use the Monitor and Monitor/LCD display modes, an external display must be connected
to the monitor connector on the port replicator.
