Warning
Do not drive the rotating brushes over the
mains cable! Carry the appliance over
steps and high thresholds!
Î
Switch on/off the electrical suction
brush using the switch at the handle.
First pick up the larger parts such as cloth
pieces, paper, etc. from the floor. You will
thus avoid a blockage of the brush roller.
Note
You have to work with the brush roller
switched off if you want to vacuum clean
high-flounce carpets, carpet edges, animal
skins, etc.

Warning
Pull out the mains plug before doing any
maintenance or cleaning jobs!

Warning
Never immerse the electrical suction brush
in water or any other liquids while cleaning!
Î Cut hair and threads that have got
wound on the brush roller using a pair of
scissors or just remove them.
If the rollers of the ESB 28 become difficult
to move:
Î Insert a screw driver into the inlet incli-
nation and prise out the rollers.
Note
While prising, hold your had over the roller
so that the roller doesn't jump off.
Î
Remove hair or threads that have
wound over the axes of the rollers.
Î Re-insert the rollers and ensure that
both the axes have locked in properly.
Î Loosen the locking hook using a screw-
driver and remove the front hood.
Î Turn the electrical suction brush and re-
move the housing lid.
Î Dismantle the brush roller.
