Warning
Installation sets must only be installed by
authorized personnel.

Risk of injury on account of electric shock.
Pull the plug out of the socket before open-
ing the control cabinet.
Î
Open the switch cabinet locks, swivel
cover upward and latch.

Remove the nuts on the cover.

Remove cover.
Î
Insert the control and fasten it with
screws.

Pull the dummy connector out of the
power strip.
Î
Insert the control plug instead of the
dummy connector.
Î
Install the scale platform below the pel-
let ejector and level.
Note
Make sure that the scale platform is free-
standing and not obstructed by any objects,
as this will cause inaccurate measure-
ments.
Î
Open both latches on the front machine
cover.
Î
Tilt the cover toward the outside and lift
off from the top.

Î
Guide the scale platform cable into the
machine from the bottom and connect
the plug on the bottom of the switch
cabinet.
Î
Close and lock the machine cover.
The volume control is installed just like the
control of the installation set "Scale".
The scale does not need to be connected.

Danger
Risk of suffocation on account of carbon di-
oxide. The carbon dioxide content in the air
at the place where the machine is used will
increase when the machine is running. En-
sure adequate ventilation at the place of
use; if possible, use an alarm to warn per-
sons. Symptoms of high levels of carbon di-
oxide in the air that is breathed in:
– 3...5%: headache, faster breathing.
– 7...10%: headache, nausea and per-
haps even unconsciousness.
If any of these symptoms occur, please
switch off the machine immediately and get
a breath of fresh air and improve the venti-
lation before starting work again with the
machine.
Follow the safety specifications of the man-
ufacturer of carbon dioxide.

Danger
Risk of cold burns. Dry ice has a tempera-
ture of -79 °C. Never touch dry ice or cold
parts of the machine without appropriate
protection. Wear protective gloves and pro-
tective overalls.

Danger
Risk of injury on account of ejected dry ice
pellets. Inspect the pellet ejector for cleanli-
ness prior to taking it into operation. Do not
look directly at the extruder plate.

Danger
Danger of bursting. Never store dry ice in
tightly sealed containers.
Î
Set the key switch "M/0/A" to "A". Re-
move the key and store so that it can
only be accessed by service personnel.
Î
Switch on the power supply.
Î
Open the carbon dioxide supply.
Î
Turn on the main switch.
Î
Release emergency-stop button by
turning.
The indicator lamp "Voltage on" will illu-
minate.
Î
Place an empty container below the pel-
let ejector.
Î
If the installation set "Scale" has been
installed, set the key switch "On/Off" to
"Off".
Î
If the installation set "Volume control"
has been installed, set the key switch
"Direct/PCS" to "Direct".
Î
Press "On" key.
The pellet production will start.
Î
Once the desired quantity of pellets has
been produced, press the "Off" key.
The machine will finish the current pro-
duction cycle and will then terminate the
pellet production.
In automatic mode, a preset quantity of pel-
lets is produced. After that, the machine will
terminate the pellet production.

Set the key switch "0/OFF" / "I/ON" to
"1/ON" (option).
Î
Center an empty container on the scale
platform.
Î
Read its empty weight (in kg) on the dis-
play.
Î
Press "F" key.
Î
Set its empty weight (in kg) on the dis-
play using the arrow keys.
Î
Press "F" key until "CF" is shown on the
display.
Î
Release the "F" key and press it once
again.
The display shows "H1" and the set
empty weight (alternating).
Î
Set the pellet quantity to be produced
(in kg) on the display using the arrow
keys.
Î
Press "F" key until the empty weight is
shown on the display.
