Down (not locked): Lower the snow

shield.

Up: Raise the snow shield.

The operating lever can assume 2 posi-
tions:
Down: Swivel the snow shield towards

the right.

Up: Swivel the snow shield towards the

left.

The sweeping system is attached by per-
forming the steps for attaching the snow
shield in the reverse order.

After installing the sweeping system,
check the sweeping mirrors of the side
brushes and adjust if necessary (see
operating instructions for sweeper).

– The caster is suitable for dry, sprinkable

grit such as sand, fine gravel and gran-
ulates.

– It is forbidden to use sprinkable grit that

is hazardous to health and environment.
Please follow the instructions of the grit
manufacturer.

– The sweeper must not be used with tyre

chains.

– Prior to using the sweeper for sweeping,

the caster must be removed.

– The caster may only be used at ICC 1.

Danger

Risk of injury on account of rotating ma-
chine parts. Never put your hand into the
machine when the caster is in operation.

Î

Park the machine on an even surface.

Î

Remove ignition key.

Î

Lock parking brake.

Loosen all 4 fastening screws.

Î

Remove the tail panel.

2 Hydraulic quick coupling
3 Upper holder

Î

Two persons should lift the caster and
push the bolts of the caster into the
holder holes on the vehicle.

Î

Align the upper holder, insert the bolts
and secure with splint.

Î

Connect the hydraulic quick couplings.

Î

Ensure that the exhaust gases are di-
rected away from the caster by using an
angular piece.

Warning

Risk of injury, risk of damage on account of
flying grit.
Pay attention to persons and vehicles while
spraying the grit.
Î

Before startup, ensure that the hydraulic
unit has been assembled properly and
is not leaky.

Î

Take off the covering tarpaulin and fill in
the grit.

Permissible grit:
– Sand, fine gravel, granulates. Grain size

3...8 mm

– Adding dry de-icing salt.
Note
If you add de-icing salt, then ensure that the
grit and the salt are dry.
Wet grit freezes at temperatures below 0°C
and leads to disruptions.
Note
The waste container of the ICC 1 can be
used as a storage container for grit, as long
as the following conditions are met:
Maximum load 250 kg.
The exhaust grid on the waste container

must be covered.

Moist or wet grit must not be stored in

the waste container over extended peri-
ods of time to prevent clumpling.

Slowly tip the waste container while re-

filling the grit to prevent spilling next to
the caster.

Î

Attach the tarpaulin cover.

1 Lever for dosing the grit

Î

Adjust the grit dosing at the lever.

Warning

Higher wear and tear if the lever adjustment
for grit dosing is too high. Adjust the lever
only to such an extent that the grit does not
come out of the container on its own.
Note
The sprinkable quantity depends on the
corn size, the driving speed and the position
of the dosing lever for the grit.
