3.1.3 Control, operating modes
The following operating modes can be selected within the control panel:
SMOOTH
Removal of residue and sediments by the chain centrifugal head (the
machine operates with a higher speed). The smooth mode LED is
illuminated.
PULSING Removal of heavy blockages, the pulsing mode and scrubbing mode LED’s
are illuminated (scrubbing speed)
SCRUBBING
Removal of normal blockages, the scrubbing mode LED is illuminated.
RESET Switches off the motor or resets the error display (= both scrubbing mode
and smooth mode LED’s flash alternately)
3.2 Start-up
Î Check the electrical connection at the workplace
Before using for the first time:
Î Remove the machine from its packaging.
Î Attach the carrier handle (1) to the tube frame (2) and locate the securing pins (10)
To transport the machine, ergonomic handle can be pulled out of the transport, for
transporting or storing the vehicle, the transport handle to be inserted. In the transport
handle always fixed with two locking pin.
3.3 Operation
The operation of the tube cleaning machine should only be carried out under full
compliance with all the instructions for the safety of persons and machinery!
Insertion of the screw into the tube:
Î Position the machine at a distance of approx 1-2 m from the opening of the tube to be
cleaned.
Î Connect the mains plug to the appropriate mains power supply.
Î Push the guide hose (6) over the screw until it touches the feed housing stop and then
secure with the catch.
Î Attach a suitable tool to the front. (Select the appropriate tool for the anticipated type of
dirt blockage)
Before any further manual operations are carried out gloves must be worn!
Î Switch on the main green switch (8) of the machine control system to ready status.
Î Holding the screw with the guide hose in one hand select the required operating mode for
the motor via the control panel (9).
Î Turn on the pressure transducer (5) and set the feed handle (7) to forwards (press the
handle in the direction of the tube).
By means of the feed handle the screw feed is regulated smoothly (forwards, neutral and
reverse).
