Making, answering and ending calls
making a call
To make a call:
Press
pHONE/
FLAsH
, then wait for a dial tone.
-Or-
Press
/spEAKEr to use the speakerphone, then
wait for a dial tone.
Use the dialing keys to enter the telephone number.
On-hook dialing (predialing):
Use the dialing keys to enter the telephone number
(up to 30 digits).
Press and hold
rEDIAL
/pAusE to insert a three-second
dialing pause (a
p appears).
Press
muTE
/DELETE or
OFF
/CANCEL to erase digits.
Press
pHONE/
FLAsH
to call.
-Or-
Press
/spEAKEr to call using the speakerphone.
-Or-
Press and hold
OFF
/CANCEL to return to idle mode.
notes:
Pressing
pHONE
/FLAsH to access services from your telephone service provider does not
affect the elapsed time.
When a handset is on a call, if another handset attempts to access the directory, speed dial
list or caller ID history, the screen shows
NOT AvAILABLE AT THIs TImE.
Temporary ringer silencing
To silence the ringer temporarily on that handset only:
While the telephone is ringing, press
OFF/
CANCEL
or
muTE/
DELETE
.
To silence the ringer temporarily on the telephone base:
While the telephone is ringing, press
/-vOLumE on the
telephone base.
This turns off the ringer without disconnecting the call. The next incoming
call rings normally at the preset volume.
note: Unless the ringer volume is turned off on that handset, each handset rings when there
is an incoming call.
