Security – ATEN CN-6000 User Manual

Security
The Security page is used to control access to the CN-6000.
M
IP and MAC Filters permit or deny access to the CN-6000 for specific IP
and MAC addresses attempting to access the system with CN-6000 Client
software.
M
The Default Java program name lets the Administrator specify the page
that the user connects to when he accesses the CN-6000 with his browser.
The user must include the name of this page in the IP address, or he will not
be granted access. For security purposes, we recommend that you change
the name of this page from time to time.
Note: If no page is specified here, anyone will be able to access the
CN-6000 with the IP address alone. This is a very insecure situation.
M
Admin station filters specify which MAC addresses are allowed to access
the CN-6000 configuration dialogs. If nothing is specified here, there are no
restrictions.
Note: These can only be set with the AP version of the Administrator
utility. It can’t be set with the browser version.
