DEPTH
The V-Drive’s unique 11-position Depth switch fine-tunes
the low-end response to perfectly voice the overdrive depth
to suit a wide range of guitars, pickups, and musical styles.
Unlike typical bass controls (that boost or cut at a single fixed
frequency), the V-Drive’s Depth switch provides eleven different
low-frequency roll-off points; turning the Depth switch clockwise
lowers the low-frequency roll-off point.
Trimming the low-end depth carefully — and finding the Depth
switch “sweet spot” — will reveal more midrange detail, com-
plexity and texture, while providing a better-balanced sound
that will blend well with other instruments and help your sound
“fit the mix.”
TEXTURE
The V-Drive’s Texture control adjusts the overdrive texture and
harmonic content. Working in conjunction with the Select and
Drive controls, these three controls provide an unprecedented
range of fine-tunable overdrive choices. Warm and smooth
(Texture control turned counterclockwise) or bristling with
harmonic activity (Texture control turned clockwise), the Texture
control offers a vast range of overdrive colors and textures.
