STEP 1

Disconnect negative cable

STEP 2

Raise vehicle and support on sturdy jackstands or place on vehicle lift.

STEP 3

Disconnect the steering shaft, remove exhaust manifold flange nuts at the collectors.
Disconnect the slip fit connection behind the catalytic converters and remove the Y-pipe.

STEP 4

Remove the air tubes, spark plug wires and spark plugs. Disconnect oxygen sensor plugs
from the harness at the top back of the engine.

STEP 5

Remove driverside exhaust manifold bolts and remove manifold from the top.

STEP 6

Remove passenger side EGR tube, dipstick, alternator and alternator bracket. Remove
exhaust manifold bolts and then remove manifold out the bottom.

STEP 7

With the manifolds out of the vehicle, remove the oxygen sensors from the manifolds and
install into the BBK headers.

STEP 8

Apply a small amount of hi temp gasket sealer to the supplied gaskets to insure a leak free
install. Using supplied hardware, install the headers onto the engine.

STEP 9

With the headers inplace, reinstall the EGR tube, dipstick, alternator, air tubes, spark plugs
and wires. Reconnect the steering shaft. Reconnect the oxygen sensor plugs.

NOTE:

Use of heatshielding may be needed for oxygen sensor wires and passenger side
spark plug wires.

STEP 10 Before installing the factory Y-pipe you must cut the passenger side exhaust tube just below

the flex tube. Approx. 5 inches. This will allow the supplied slip tube to be put in place.

STEP 11 Install the supplied slip tube on to the modified Y-pipe and gently tighten using the supplied

clamp to allow some movement for adjustment. Install Y-pipe and hand tighten the fasteners.
Once proper fit is achieved, tighten all fasteners tight.

STEP 12 Reconnect battery cable and start engine to check for any leaks.
