The following example shows the syntax for a planning rule:
set rule_id = SAN_1
where rule = “check_for_valid IPAddress for (device=switch or device=hub or
device=bridge)”
and description = “valid IP addresses must be specified for all switches,
hubs and bridges”
and headline = “Valid IP must be specified/property validation”
and errormssg = “The device labeled {0} has invalid IP address”
and remedy = “Please specify a valid IP address”;
Rule types
There are three types of rules that define the
where rule
parameter:

this statement is not
specified, or if it is null,
a generic error
message appears.

remedy No Specifies a remedy for
the rule violation. This
text appears on the
evaluation screen.
