Configuring Remote
Workstations: Windows Systems
This section describes the procedures for installing the HAFM on a remote
workstation running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.
To run the HAFM on a remote workstation, you must first download and install
the HAFM application from the HAFM server.
The figures in this chapter show Netscape Navigator as the Internet browser;
however, it is acceptable to use Microsoft Internet Explorer during these
procedures.
Requirements
The download and installation process requires the use of a personal computer
(PC) with the following minimum system requirements:

Operating system (one of the following):
— Windows 95
— Windows 98
— Windows 2000
— Windows NT®
— Windows XP
■
400 megahertz (MHz) Pentium processor.
■
128 megabyte (MB) random access memory (RAM) memory.
■
28 MB available disk space.
■
Video card supporting 256 colors at 800 x 600 resolution.
■
Ethernet network adapter.
■
Java-enabled Internet browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer (version
3.0 or later) or Netscape Navigator (version 3.0 or later).
