Before Using Wireless LAN
O This product is embedded with a wireless device. The model numbers are CD1100 and CD1107 (including
WLAN module model WM317).
O Countries and Regions Permitting WLAN Use
- Use of WLAN is restricted in some countries and regions, and illegal use may be punishable under
national or local regulations. To avoid violating WLAN regulations, visit the Canon website to check
where use is allowed.
Note that Canon cannot be held liable for any problems arising from WLAN use in other countries and
regions.
O You can be penalized for the following actions.
- Disassembling or modifying this product
- Removing the certification label on this product
O Parts within this product that are classified as strategic materials (or services) according to the Foreign
Exchange and Foreign Trade Act require the export license (or permission for service transactions) from
the Japanese government to be exported outside Japan.
O This product cannot be exported to or taken to US embargoed countries since this product includes
encryption software developed in the US and is subject to US export administration regulations.
O Be sure to note down the settings of your wireless LAN.
The wireless LAN setting registered in this product may be corrupted or lost due to a malfunction,
interfering radio waves, static electricity, an accident, or failure. Note down and keep the wireless LAN
settings just in case. Canon is not liable for any direct or indirect damage or lost profit due to a corruption
or loss of such contents that is not caused by Canon.
O Note down the wireless LAN settings as necessary and then initialize the settings before transferring or
disposing this product, or sending this product to repair.

Canon is not liable for any damage or loss due to illegal access to or misuse of connection destinations
registered in this product as a result of a loss or theft.
O Follow the instructions described in this guide.
Use the wireless LAN functions of this product within the scope of this guide. Canon is not liable for any
damage or loss resulting from the use that is not described in this guide.
O Do not use the wireless LAN functions of this product near medical equipment or electronic devices.
The wireless LAN functions may affect the operations of the medical equipment or electronic devices.
Radio Frequency Interference
This product may receive radio interference from other devices which transmit radio waves.
Avoid radio interference by distancing from these devices or using the interfering device at a different time.
This product is installed with the WLAN Module which is certified to standards set by IDA Singapore.
