4.3 Permissible process pressure on the transducer:
The process pressure in hazardous atmospheres must be between 0.8 bar …1.1 bar.
The permissible combinations of pressure and temperature without hazardous mixture are mentioned
in the manufacturer declaration (e.g. the operating manual).
4.4 Protection

5. Cable entry
Cable entries may only be replaced by same types or separately certified EEx e resp. Ex d cable
entries with min. protection IP66 which are suitable for the certified temperatures of OPTISOUND
3040/3050 C VF3*4.GX***VD**X .
The supplied or installed cable entry is suitable for the housing temperature range mentioned in the
OPTISOUND 3040/3050 C VF3*4.GX***VD**X certification.
If another cable entry is used, the separately certified cable entry determines the max. permissible
ambient temperature on the electronics housing (max. values: -40°C, +60°C).
6. Electrostatics
The transducer housing OPTISOUND 3040/3050 C VF3*4.GX***VD**X consists of electrically
conductive plastic and is integrated in the potential equalization (inclusively metallic diaphragm and
mounting element).
7. Material resistance
For applications requiring category 1/2 D or 2 D instruments OPTISOUND 3040/3050 C
VF3*4.GX***VD**X must only be used in products against which the wetted parts are sufficiently
resistant.
8. Grounding
OPTISOUND 3040/3050 C VF3*4.GX***VD**X must be grounded.
9. Housing cover locking
For the double chamber housing please make sure that prior to the set-up the housing cover of the
connection compartment and the electronics compartment must be screwed in up to the stop and has
to be secured with the cover locking.
