ATTACH ROPE HOLDBACK CLEAT
The Cleat to hold the ropes attaches to the end arch tube member along the
vertical side of the unit. Locate the holdback cleat vertically on the tubing where
they will be easily accessible to operate. Drill two small pilot holes in the tubing,
and use the two self-tapping screws provided to secure the cleat to the tubing.
INSTALL ROPE
Determine the middle of the rope provided and cut the rope into two pieces.
Attach the ropes directly over the end arch tubing frame at the top, inside the
door and aligned with the pulleys. Tie the ends into a square knot to avoid slip-
ping later.
Run the two ropes along the inside of the door and then under the door to the
outside of the unit. Thread the rope up through the pulleys and back down as
illustrated.
ROLL UP DOOR
Standing either inside or outside of unit as selected, pull the two rope ends to
the side of the door, near the cleat. Pulling the ropes together, door will start to
roll up. Door may need an adjustment getting started to ‘roll’ rather than bunch
up. Once it has been rolled a few times PE material will develop a memory to
roll. Pull ropes to open door to any position or level needed. Wind ropes around
double ended cleat to secure.
If there is an excess of Rope, do not trim rope until door has been opened and
closed several times. Rope should only be trimmed if necessary when door is in
closed position. Leave 2-3’ of rope beyond cleat location as a minimum.
