Connecting to an External Amplifier
(CDA-7894/CDA-7893/CDA-7892 only)
When an external amplifier is connected, sound quality
can be improved by stopping the power supply of the
buit-in amplifier. The power output is set to OFF by the
following procedure.

Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3
seconds.

Press the f UP or g DN button to select "PWR-
IC" (CDA-7892: "PWR").

Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between
PWR-IC ON (CDA-7892: PWR ON) and PWR-IC OFF
(CDA-7892: PWR OFF).
PWR-IC OFF (CDA-7892: PWR OFF):
When activating the speakers, this setting can be
performed by connecting between the front and rear
pre-amplifier of the unit and the external amplifier. In
this setting, nothing is output to the speakers.
PWR-IC ON (CDA-7892: PWR ON):
The speakers are driven by the built-in amplifier.
NOTE
No sound is produced by the system when the power output is set
to OFF

Press the SETUP button to return to normal mode.
Setting the Defeat of the External
Input
When auxiliary devices such as a TV or video game,
etc., are used with this unit, you can use the audio
function to set the mode between BASS, TREBLE and
MX Defeat ON/OFF.

Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3
seconds.

Press the f UP or g DN button to select "INT."

Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between
INT ON and INT OFF.
When using Initial mode, set this to ON.
When the Initial mode is not selected, set this to OFF.

Press the SETUP button to return to normal mode.
