anchorage point which is too far left or right of the user in order to
minimize fall swing type injuries from the pendulum effect after a fall.
4. The CB SWIVEL TOP fastens to the top of the CB Raised Anchor
(without attached horizontal lifeline) when the hole in the CB RAISED
ANCHOR is aligned with the CB Raised Anchor’s top attachment.
5. When the CB SWIVEL TOP’s lower attachment hole is aligned with the
CB Raised Anchor’s top attachment, insert the locking hitch pin and
secure the pin’s locking pin.
6. Ensure that the CB SWIVEL TOP is properly installed by attempting
to pull the CB SWIVEL TOP off of the CB Raised Anchor.
Installing the Retractable Lifeline
The Guardian CB SWIVEL TOP is designed to accept numerous
manufacturers’ retractable lifelines (fifty (50) foot in length
maximum).
1. Remove clevis pin from retractrable receiver wings.
2. Slide retractable horizontally into position.
3. Reinsert clevis pin and insert hitch pin.
4. Inspect and operate the retractable as per manufacturer’s instructions.
WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE RETRACTABLE
MANUFACTURER’S INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN SEVERE
INJURY OR DEATH.
MAINTENANCE
The following periodic routine maintenance actions are recommended:
- Perform the visual inspection and test described under INSTALLATION
before use of each unit.
WARNING: WHENEVER UNIT HAS ARRESTED A FALL IT MUST BE
RETURNED TO GUARDIAN FOR DISASSEMBLY, INSPECTION AND
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT FOR PARTS AS REQUIRED. DO NOT
DISMANTLE UNIT.
