INSPECT EQUIPMENT BEFORE EACH USE!

Reusable Anchor inspection instructions:
Reusable Anchors should be inspected at least annually as
a part of a regular safety program. Daily inspections
should at the least include a check to see that all of the
components of the equipment are performing properly.
Common sense dictates procedures for visual inspections.
• When inspecting equipment, check for physical

deformations, excessive wear, corrosion, and that all
components work properly and safely.

• Inspect connecting hardware and webbing of any

other system components daily.

• If product fails inspection contact your local dealer or

Guardian for replacement information.

MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, AND STORAGE

Only a qualified person trained by Guardian to service or
replace the equipment can carry out servicing the
equipment. All services and inspection dates should be
logged and maintained by the company safety officer.

Remove from service all products subjected to fall
arresting forces.
Guardian will replace any of its
components involved in a fall arrest. Contact Guardian
for policy specifics.

Cleaning after use is important for maintaining the
safety and life of the equipment. Cleanse the equipment
of all dirt, corrosives, and contaminants. If equipment
cannot simply be wiped clean use a mild commercial soap
and water. Wipe and hang to dry.

Store equipment where it cannot be affected by heat,
light, excessive moisture, oil, chemicals, or other
degrading elements.

READ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING!

Reusable Anchors must be installed with all fasteners penetrating a
structural roof truss. Anchors can be mounted directly into the truss or
through the roof sheathing. User must ensure that they use the equipment
in a compliant manner, and that they are not situated to have a free fall
greater than 6ft.

One worker per anchor. Maximum capacity is 310 lbs.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION!

Warnings:
All fasteners must penetrate a structural truss capable of withstanding
5,000lb loads in the direction that a fall might occur.

Compatible components must be used. Do not attach subsystems or
lifelines in a manner that does not meet OSHA compatibility standards.

ANCHOR POINT PLACEMENT:
Do not place anchors within 10ft. of the gable ends of the roof.
Recommended spacing to ensure availability of anchors at all times is
16ft. o.c. along a ridge-line or in the field. Use the anchor point that
creates the least swing fall potential. Free fall cannot exceed 6ft.

INSTALLATION INTO TRUSS:
Bend the anchor legs at their creases to match the roof pitch. All 10 of the
included #12x2” screw fasteners must fully penetrate the structural truss.
If a fastener cannot penetrate the truss reinstall the anchor at a different
location where all fasteners can penetrate the truss. A drill must be used
to install the fasteners. DO NOT HAMMER screws. Do not use nails!

REMOVAL AND REUSE:
Anchors can be reused provided that they sustain no damage and have not
been subjected to a fall arrest. Do not reuse original fasteners after
removal. Discard them. New Guardian fasteners must be used at each
installation.
