4. Place in operation the appliance being inspected. Follow the lighting instructions. Adjust thermostat so appliance will

operate continuously.

5. Test for spillage at the draft hood relief opening after 5 minutes of main burner operation. Use the flame of a match or

candle, or smoke from a cigarette, cigar or pipe.

6. After it has been determined that each appliance remaining connected to the common venting system properly vents

when tested as outlined above, return doors, windows, exhaust fans, fireplace dampers and any other gas-burning

appliance to their previous condition of use.

7. Any improper operation of the common venting system should be corrected so the installation conforms with the

National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1. When resizing any portion of the common venting system, the common

venting system should be resized to approach the minimum size as determined using the appropriate tables in Appendix

G in the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1

6-B. ITEMS TO BE CHECKED BEFORE LIGHTING THE MUNCHKIN

READ SECTION 1-A (OPERATION)

1.

Make sure you have minimum 10 psi water pressure. The water pressure switch will not
allow the unit to run without 10 psi.

2.

Check all molex plugs, making sure they are properly connected into each plug.

3.

Check clear hose connection from pressure switch to outlet of blower.

4.

Make sure gas is turned on.

5.

Double check temperature setting and differential settings.

6.

Make sure that unit is properly ground, and black (hot), white (neutral lead) are
connected properly. Note: If not properly grounded or black (hot), white (neutral lead) are
reversed then the unit will light for 3-4 seconds then shut-off after three cycles.

7.

Turn power on to the Munchkin.

8.

Check to see that the LED light indicator is illuminated.
