Whenever removing high voltage
cable(s) from equipment, ground the plug
end of the cable(s) by contacting the plug
to electrical ground. Do not touch the
plug until it has been grounded. This will
eliminate the possibility of residual charge
causing electrical shock.

Junction tank models LEPS5000-01 through -04
will accept either a high voltage tack (used on
older models) or banana plug contact (part num-
ber EPS-4245).
Cut the SSW-1064, HV cable, according to the
length required and screw an EPS-4245, connec-
tor, (supplied as part of part number LKIT-0003,
connection kit) onto the cable end which will be
inserted into the power supply. Be careful to keep
the screw centered in the middle of the cable as
it is installed. Thread the cable end through the
metal nut and then through the rubber bushing
(supplied as part of the LKIT-0003 kit). Insert the
cable fully into a high voltage tube of the junction
tank and then tighten the nut until the cable is
secure. Tighten the nut retaining screw with very
light force (see Figure 2). A LKIT-0003 kit is re-
quired for each high voltage cable connection to
the power supply when using SSW-1064, cable.
>
For connections into power supplies or
for gun cable connections, refer to the ap-
propriate service manual for cable termina-
tions and installation requirements.
NOTE
REAIII Gun Cables
Simply insert the gun cable into any of the junc-
tion tank outputs (refer to Figure 2b). Tighten the
cable nut until secure. Tighten the nut retaining
screw with very light force. A high voltage contact
spring is located at the bottom of each output tube
assembly of the LEPS5000-04, Junction Tank,
which is pressed against the high voltage tack,
located on the end of the REAIII gun cable.
