Note: It is important to set the checking clearances so that expansion
and contraction of the supported vessel will be taken into account. On a
four (4) load cell tank, hopper, vessel; keep the clearance on I cell
assembly (#I) as an 'anchor' with tight, minimal clearances. On the other
three (3), set with the looser, more open clearances to allow for expansion
and / or contraction. Mount the assemblies so that the cell is centered in the
checking and can 'move' in all directions. All vessels, regardless of material
type or construction, will be likely to expand or contract with changes in
temperature, load, and other variables.
