Load Rise Detection (Method 2 – Type 2)
This Load Control press method allows judgment of a distance (DS) at a given load
[18: Crossover Load] and press rate [33: Rate 2 High].
Type 2 Control is active if [22: Standard Distance] is set to 0.
Upon start of cycle, the press will operate until it achieves [13: Standard Load]. During
the press cycle, as soon as [18: Crossover Load] is achieved, a rate calculation will
begin based upon the load seen at a distance of .1mm before the [18: Crossover
Load] distance and will continue to be calculated every .1mm until [33: Rate 2 High] is
exceeded. During the press cycle, checks are performed for “1

Judgment Zone”, 1

Rate, Load, Distance, 1
ST
Time and 2
ND
Time. If any of these values are compromised,
the press will stop and return as programmed. Final Judgment is based on the distance
where the rate exceeds [33: Rate 2 High] after [18: Crossover Load] has been
achieved.
