OPERATION
4.4 Methods of Externally Triggering or Pacing AD8 and AD9 Pumps
Switch or transistors must be capable of switching 24V DC at
15 milliamperes. Minimum time in low impedance state (ON) is
25 milliseconds. Minimum time in high impedance state (OFF)
is 50 milliseconds.
The remote on/off input (using pins 1 and 2) is active in all modes.
In the out-of-box configuration, the pump will run when contacts
are open. The pump is monitoring these pins for a change in
closure condition. Regardless of the pump being on or off, when
the contacts close, then the pump will turn on. When the contacts
open, the pump will turn off.
The Power Button overrides the remote on/off and can still be
used to turn the pump on and off. If the contacts are closed when
the on/off button is pressed, the pump will turn off. To restart
the pump remotely, the contacts must be opened and then closed
again.
These pumps have two operating modes: Local (Pulse Indicator
Light flashes green) and Remote (Pulse Indicator Light flashes
yellow). Pressing the Mode Selection Button switches between
Local and Remote modes. The default configuration for operat-
ing mode is Local mode.
