5.4 Volume regulation
Bring the
ON/OFF/VOLUME knob to medium position. Once the
transceiver receives a signal, adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
If no signal is received, use the
SCAN/MON button as described in
par. 5.8.

Battery consumption is directly proportional to the audio level.
5.5 Selection of the operational channel
1) Press once the
MENU button. The display will start flashing.
2) Press the
+ or – button to scroll up or down the channel list till
you select the desired channel. To rapidly scroll channels keep
pressed the
+ or – button until you reach the specific channel.

Obviously the other party must select the same channel otherwise
you cannot establish contact

5.5.a Which channel should be selected?
Your
MIDLAND G2 has 16 channels in total (8+8) as shown in the
following table. Please note that:
• Channels 1 to 8 are programmed with the eight frequencies of the
PMR446 band.
• Channels 9 to 16 are programmed with the same radio frequencies
as the ones from 1 to 8 (e.g. channel 9 has the same frequency as
channel 1), with the addition however of the tone CTCSS Nr. 16.
Therefore, when they are selected, the display shows
c6 after
the channel number.
