Metering Pump Assembly:
Have the Seal Kit (VHPC-2200-HIS-SK) and items that need to be replaced available.
1. Outlet Body: Install the three Seals (VHPC-2210) into
the Outlet body (VHPC-2217). The Seals should go o-
ring facing down one on top of the other. Push the
stack down into the outlet body.
2. Install Packing nut (VHPC-2207) into the top of the
outlet body and hand tighten.
3. Thread the Clevis or Bearing block onto the end of the
Piston rod (VHPC-2218) and position the clevis or
bearing block into the vise with the Piston rod (VHPC-
2218) facing up.
4. Take the assembled outlet body and with a twisting
motion push it onto the piston rod. The Packing nut (VHPC-2207) should go on
first so that it is pointing down. A little force may be required to go through the
seals.
5. With the end of the Piston rod (VHPC-2218) sticking out of
the outlet body apply a small amount of removable thread
lock to the threads of the piston rod. Install the Spring
(04003-1) into the end of the piston rod. Put the Piston ball
(03069) on top of the spring and screw the Piston body
(VHPC-2211) onto the piston rod. Use caution not to drop the
piston ball as it can become damaged.
6. Slide the Piston seal (VHPC-2222) onto the piston body with
the cup side facing down. Screw the Seal retainer (VHPC-
2212) onto the piston body. Remove from the vise and set
aside for now.
7. Inlet body: Mount the clean Inlet body (VHPC-2215-B) into the vise. Put a new
O-ring (O-S-3-908) onto the Port plug (VHPC-2224) and tighten into the inlet
body.
8. Put a new O-ring (O-S-3-908) onto the Inlet fitting (HF-HN-04-12J-SS) and
tighten into the side of the Inlet body (VHPC-2215-B).
