1. Install frame angle bracket using photos No. 1 and 2. *Please note No. 2 uses large flat washer as
backing behind frame slot. Do No Tighten.
2. As in photos No. 3 and 4, install axle U-bolts under brake lines.
3. Lubricate and install D-shaped bushings on sway bar and install on U-bolts by placing flat plate
on U-bolt, then torsion bar with bushing installed, then U-plate. Use 1/2” washer on U-Bolts as in
photo No. 4. Do Not Tighten.
4. Using line drawing, assemble end link and install on frame bracket and sway bar arm. Tighten
just enough to bulge the bushings slightly.
5. Align sway bar so end links are in a near vertical position from frame to sway bar arm. Tighten
all nuts and bolts securely, use double nuts where necessary and provided. Torque to values in
table above.
6. Bounce the vehicle and check for clearance on all undercarriage components. Be sure all nuts and
bolts are securely fastened and double nuts are used where necessary or provided.
7. Recheck your installation after a test drive, look for clearance on gas lines, exhaust pipes, brake
lines, wiring, etc. After one week of driving check your installation and periodically thereafter.
TORQUE TABLE
BOLT SIZE: 3/8” = 20-30 ft. lbs. – 7/16” = 35-45 ft. lbs. – 1/2” = 50-70 ft. lbs. – 9/16” = 70-90 ft. lbs
SAFETY:
PARK YOUR VEHICLE ON A FLAT LEVEL SURFACE, SET THE PARKING AND CHOCK THE FRONT TIRES.
NOTE: TO EASE INSTALLATION AND TO PROPERLY ADJUST THE SWAY BAR, THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE MUST BE
ON THE SUSPENSION AS IF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. DO NOT RAISE THE VEHICLE BY THE FRAME.
