1. Install frame angle brackets and U-bolts as in photos No. 1 and 2. Be sure to have all wires, fuel
lines, etc clear of these components.
2. As in Photos No. 3 and 4 install sway bar on axle. Note the hole in the axle plate. This allows the
plate to locate on the stud welded to the axle. Install the axle U-bolts under the brake lines, then
the axle plate over the U-bolts and stud. Place the sway bar against this assembly and install the
tie down plate. Do No Tighten.
3. Raise the arms of the bar up and assemble end links. Note line drawing of end links and Photo
No. 2 when installing. Tighten the end link nuts just until the bushing begins to bulge slightly. Do
Not Overtighten.
4. Align frame brackets so the end links are in a vertical position. Tighten U-bolts and double nut
for a secure lock. Tighten axle U-bolts so all the plates lay flat against each other. Double nut
these U-bolts.
5. Bounce the vehicle and check for clearance on all undercarriage components. Be sure all nuts and
bolts are securely fastened and double nuts are used where necessary or provided.
6. Recheck your installation after a test drive, look for clearance on gas lines, exhaust pipes, brake
lines, wiring, etc. After one week of driving check your installation and periodically thereafter.
