TORQUE TABLE

BOLT SIZE: 3/8” = 20-30 ft. lbs. – 7/16” = 35-45 ft. lbs. – ½” = 50-70 ft. lbs. – 9/16” = 70-90 ft. lbs.

SAFETY:

BEFORE STARTING YOUR INSTALLATION, BE SURE TO SET PARKING BRAKE AND CHOCK TIRES.

NOTE:

TO EASE INSTALLATION AND TO PROPERLY ADJUST BAR, THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE MUST BE

ON THE SUSPENSION, AS IF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.

DO NOT RAISE VEHICLE BY FRAME.

1.

Place the U-bolts over the axle tubes just to the inside of the lower shock mounts. Be careful to place the U-bolts under the brake lines
so not to damage them when U-bolts are tightened..

2.

Lay the bar under the axle tubes so the straight areas on the back of the bar are slightly rearward of the axles.

3.

Lightly lubricate the D-shaped bushings and place them on the sway bar to line up with the U-bolts on the axle. Place the U-plates over
the D-bushings.

4.

Place saddle brackets on axle by inserting legs of U-bolts through holes in saddle brackets.

5.

Raise bar to saddle brackets and attach to axle using U-bolts and U-plates. Leave loose for adjustment later

6.

Locate holes in the frame just below the crossmember in front of the rear axle.

7.

Mount angle brackets to outside of the frame with the long leg pointing inboard as shown in photo. Use stud plate and 1/2” nut and
washer to attach bracket to frame.

8.

Insert ends of sway bar into bushings and attach to frame bracket using U-plates and 3/8” bolts as shown in photo.

9.

Attach pinch clip to inboard bolt of frame bracket so that it clamps the flange of the frame rail as shown in photo. Place thick washer on
top of pinch clip before installation.

10. Align bar so that it is centered and tighten U-bolts to 70 ft-lb. Double nut and tighten to lock.
11. Tighten 1/2” stud in frame bracket to 50 ft-lb.
12. Tighten 3/8” bolts to 25 ft-lb.
13. Recheck your installation, looking for clearance on any undercarriage components, such as gas lines, exhaust pipes, brake lines, wiring,

etc.

14. Drive vehicle for a few miles, then recheck for position and tightness, readjust and retorque as needed. Then recheck periodically there-

after.
