TORQUE TABLE
BOLT SIZE: 3/8” = 20-30 ft. lbs. – 7/16” = 35-45 ft. lbs. – ½” = 50-70 ft. lbs. – 9/16” = 70-90 ft. lbs.
SAFETY:
BEFORE STARTING YOUR INSTALLATION, BE SURE TO SET PARKING BRAKE AND CHOCK
TIRES.
NOTE:
TO EASE INSTALLATION AND TO PROPERLY ADJUST THE BAR, THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE
MUST BE ON THE SUSPENSION, AS IF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
DO NOT RAISE VEHICLE BY THE FRAME.
NOTE:
THIS SWAY BAR IS DESIGNED TO REPLACE THE FACTORY MOUNTED SWAY BAR
1. Remove the factory mounted front sway bar and mounting hardware.
2. Lubricate and install the D-shaped poly bushings on the sway bar in the position
that they will be mounted on the vehicles frame. Attach U-plates to bushings as
shown in PHOTO THREE (3).
3. Place cross bar on top of frame mount and align with holes in frame. Insert U-bolt
legs through holes in crossbar and frame mount. Attach u shaped plate and spacers
as shown in PHOTO THREE (3),
4. Raise the sway bar up to the frame and attach using the U-plates and the mounting
hardware as shown in PHOTO THREE (3).
Leave loose at this time to allow for
adjustment later. SEE PHOTO ONE (1).
5. Assemble the end link assemblies as per diagram. Install the end links on the lower
control arms of the vehicle.
6. Raise the arms of the sway bar over the end links. Install the end links on the arms
of the sway bar. Tighten until the poly bushings start to bulge. Do not over tighten
or damage can result to the poly bushings. SEE PHOTO TWO (2).
7. With the sway bar centered and the end links are as straight up and down as possi-
ble—torque the frame mounting bolts to specifications.
8. Bounce the vehicle and check for clearance on all under carriage components.
Make sure that all mounting are securely tightened.
9. After one week of driving recheck your installation readjust if necessary . Recheck
your installation on a regular basis thereafter.
