2. The alarm should not be installed in:
* A space where the temperature can drop below 4
and above 40°C.
* In humid areas.
* Right next to doors or windows and not near a fan or radiator.
Do not install the alarm in a place with difficult access, which
could make it difficult to operate the test button, replace the
battery and maintenance. The alarm can be installed quickly
and easily. Install the base plate on the selected location using
the provided screws.
3. Batteries/Replacement: The smoke detector operates on
one 9V DC GOLD PEAK 1604S (6F22). The battery is expected
to last a minimum of one year under normal conditions. If the
battery is (almost) empty, the smoke detector will indicate this
with an audible "beep" tone. This indicator will sound at
intervals of 30 ¨C 40 seconds for at least 7 days. Replace the
battery when this sound is heard. Inserting the battery is very
simple: remove the smoke detector from the base plate and
replace the battery.
4. Caution: Always press on the test button after you
replace the battery.
5. Caution: Do not cover the smoke detector with tape! When
SMOKE is detected, you will hear a loud
intermittent sound (85dB).
6. Recommendation: Increase the detection area by installing
several smoke detectors.
