Single mode and Contest Mode

Word Game

If you select to play the word game or the word game is initiated as part
of the contest the unit will show the following display and say out loud
“Please select letters”:-

WORD GAME

SELECT

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

! ! ! ! !

! ! ! !

At this point you must select the letters to play with by pressing the
CONS and VOWEL keys. Every key press will give a letter randomly
generated by the computer and each question mark will in turn be
replaced by a letter.

Hint: It is important that you mix vowels and constanants to have the

best chance to solve the word clues and it certainly very important
that you ensure that you select some vowels to make the word
choice sensible. Choosing all vowels and all consonants will
mean you will probably not be able to solve word clues.
