4.5 Mechanical construction
1. Material
A. cone type: speaker cone shall be paper.
B. voice coil material to be rated at 180
°C or better.
C. magnet: 4.3oz .ferrite dimensions; diameter - 70mm,height -
8mm.
2. Construction
A. closed black metal shall be finshed to be corrosion resistant to
the environmental requirements of this speakerification
B. rim,gasket,spider,voice coil support and terminal strip must
meet the environmental
C. cone to voice coil to suspension to be epoxied
D. terminal lugs must be bent up perpendicular to the basket
slope as shown.
4.6 Enmronmental reouirements
1. Humidity
85%
± 3% relative humidity at 30°C±2°C for 24hours.
2. Corrosion
capable of operating normally after being subjected to corrosion
test (EP) per UL1480.
3. Approval
must comply with UL1480
4.7 Frequency sweep
Unit must perform similar to the reference sweep when mounted in
the backbox with no grille.
