Note: For best OCR and article print-out effect, we recommend
the scanning parameters to be that of 300 dpi, black and
white mode. To scan pictures or photos, the color or gray
scale mode is necessary But then, these modes invariably
take up much more disk space. An A4-size color image
scanned at 300 dpi, for instance, takes up as much as
24MB of disk storage space. To save disk space, then,
we suggest you set the scanning resolution at 100 dpi for
those images intended for screen display use only, now
that a scanning resolution of 100 dpi can do quite all right
for the said purpose.

Resolution: The number of dpi (dots per inch) that AV100III
uses for a scan.
