This sheet provides quick start instructions for an experienced installer

to set up and operate any of the SW MTP T 15HD A Series

switchers.

Installation

Step 1 — Mounting

Turn off or disconnect all equipment power

sources and mount the MTP switcher as required.

Step 2 — Video and audio inputs

Connect up to two, four, or six computer (VGA) video

sources to the Input connectors.

Plug up to two, four, or six 3.5 mm stereo audio plug into

the audio jack.

Step 3 — TP output to the receiver

Terminate a TP cable as shown at right. Connect it

between the RGB/Audio Output connector and a

compatible MTP receiver.

N

The cable should all be terminated using the
same standard on both ends of the cables.

Step 4 — Connect a local audio device

Connect an audio device to the Audio connector.

Wire the connector as shown at right.

C

Connect the sleeves to ground (Gnd). Connecting the sleeve to a negative (-)
terminal will damage the audio output circuits.

Step 5 — Power

Wire the 2-pole captive screw connector for the included

external 12 VDC power supply as shown at right. Plug it into

the switcher.

Step 6 — Remote connector

N

Use only one remote control type, RS-232 serial or
contact closure.

Connect an RS-232 OR contact closure controller. Wire the

connector as shown in the table at right. For contact closure

control, momentarily tie an input pin to ground to select

that input.

Step 7 — Pre-Peak

View the image and set the Pre-Peaking switch for the

best image quality to correct for long cable runs of the

entire sytem (including all daisy-chained receivers).
