The Time menu
Choose this option to modify the system date and time, the screen display and standby periods.
The options are:
Time
This option allows you to set the system Date (the entry format is MM/DD/YYYY) and Time (the entry
format is HH:MM:SS in 24-hour notation). You can use the format as displayed, or use the
B
or
C
cursor keys to decrease or increase one unit at a time.
The system date and time settings are retained for several days after the unit has been unplugged, but
may need to be reestablished after a long period without power.
Blank time
This sets the screen blank time in minutes (the default is 5 minutes).
Standby time
This sets the standby time in minutes (the default is 60 minutes).
The Archive music menu
This option allows you to move music files between the MS250 and an external USB disk.
The options are:
Archive disk
This option is for selecting an attached archive disk. Navigate to the external disk (from a list if more
than one disk is present) and press
OK
to select.
Backup
This option backs up all music files to an attached USB storage device. If you are backing up to an
archive disk you have backed up to before, the backup is ‘incremental’ (i.e. it only copies new content).
Restore
This option Restores (i.e. copies back to the internal hard disk unit) data from an archived copy of the
music files. This facility is useful in circumstances of serious data loss or unintentional deletion of files.
