Configuring the SCSI cable cage
This section includes instructions for removing and installing the SCSI
cable cage as well as procedures on how to install a hard disk into the
cage.
Note: The SCSI cable cage feature is only applicable to the Altos
G700 Basic model.
Removing the SCSI cable cage
1 Turn off the system and all the peripherals connected to it.
2 Unplug all cables from the power outlets.
3 Place the system unit on a flat, stable surface.
4 Detach the chassis panels and remove the air baffle.
5 Loosen the four thumbscrews that secure the cage to the chassis
(1).
6 Slightly pull out the cage from the chassis (2).
7 Disconnect the SCSI cable and the SCSI drive power cable from the
hard disk drive.
8 Pull out the SCSI cable cage from the chassis.
