5. gOgglE kIT (OPTIOnAl)
The goggle kit includes a 1x lens and an adjustable universal assembly that secures the Avenger to the
operator’s head, which allows hands-free operation.
ObJEcTIvE lEnS REPlAcIng
To use the Avenger with headgear, replace the standard 3X objective lens with a 1X lens.
cAuTIOn:
Before replacing the objective lens, verify that the unit is turned off.
Unscrew the standard 3X objective lens and screw the 1X lens into its place.
MOunTIng THE AvEngER TO A gOgglE kIT
Mount the Avenger to the optional goggle kit as follows:
1) Put on the goggle kit. Adjust the goggle kit strap pads until the goggles fit securely around your
head. Remove the goggle kit.
2) Loosen the screw (A). While pushing down on the button (B), insert the rail of the transfer piece (C)
into the guide (D) of the goggle kit bracket. Tighten the screw (A).
3) Install the Avenger onto the transfer piece. Adjust for eye relief. There are two threaded holes (E) in
the transfer piece. Change the position of the fixation thumb-screw (F) to the other hole to adjust eye
relief. Twist the thumb-screw into the mounting threaded hole of the unit.
4) The unit is shown in the correct positioning for
the right eye. To change the position of the unit
for the left eye, loosen the angular fixation knob
(G) and adjust the monocular’s angular position.
Tighten the fixation knob.
5) Put on the goggle kit, now mounted with the
Avenger.
6) For a more precise adjustment of the eye relief,
loosen the screw (A) and move the transfer piece-
plus-unit along the guide (D).
7) To remove the Avenger from the transfer piece,
unscrew the thumb-screw (F). To remove the trans-
fer piece from the goggle kit, loosen the screw (A),
push the button (B), and slide the transfer piece out
of the bracket guide (D).
FlIP-uP MEcHAnISM
The goggle kit has a flip-up mechanism. Push the button (H) of the goggle kit bracket and lift the unit
up until it reaches the highest position. Push the same button (H) to lower the unit into the correct
viewing position.
5. MAInTEnAncE PROcEDuRES
The Avenger should always be stored in the supplied packaging, particularly in heated and ventilated
rooms. To keep the device operational, please follow the instructions listed below regarding prepara-
tions for storage. The battery should be stored separately from the unit and be inserted into the battery
compartment only when the device is being prepared for use. The presence of both acids and alkalis’
near the monocular is not recommended.
