3. Connect the CPU fan cable to the connector on the motherboard
labeled CPU_FAN1/CPU_FAN2.

assembly in place.

• Do not forget to connect the CPU fan connector! Hardware
monitoring errors can occur if you fail to plug this connector.
• If there is only one CPU fan cable, connect it to the connector
labeled CPU_FAN1. Failure to do so may cause hardware monitoring
errors.
• Before connecting the CPU fan cables, select the appropriate jumper
settings for 3 pin or 4 pin CPU fan connectors. See CPU fan pin
selection on page 2-20 for details.
