• Advanced - Default values in the Advanced page are recommended.
• Next - Displays the Encryption settings.
• Cancel - Cancels preset.

Setting up Encryption for a Wireless Connection

The Encryption page allows you to set up the encryption settings for a wireless

connection.

• Network Authentication - Select an authentication method from the list:

1. Open - Open System mode disables authentication or uses WEP

(Wired Equivalent Privacy) for wireless security.

2. Shared - Shared Key mode uses WEP encryption for your network.
3. WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK - Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) uses a Pre-

Shared Key (PSK) for wireless network authentication.

4. WPA/WPA2-Enterprise/WEP 802.1X - WPA/WPA2-Enterprise

requires a RADIUS server for assigning encryption codes for all

wireless devices on the network.
