SB100 Speaker Assembly, Installation Guide
Introduction
The SB 100 Spa Speaker is waterproof assembly (IP65)
incorporating a midrange loudspeaker and Infrared
communication port in a sturdy housing. The integral high-
density poly gasket ensures a watertight installation even in
high splash areas. All connectors are gold plated for
maximum corrosion resistance.
The SB100 is designed to be used in conjunction with the
Poly Planar MS-55 or MS-551 Subwoofer system for
optimum audio performance.
Installation, OEM Spa
Find a suitable location above the normal water level.
Check to be sure there is sufficient room (2”) behind the
location and away from pump motors if possible.
Using the appropriate tool for the material you are cutting. Use
the template provided or cut a 2 ½
” (63mm) and a 1 ¼” hole on
1 ½” centers. Cut away the corners of the intersecting holes as
shown. Test fit the Speaker.
Note: For OEM applications a Router template can be made to
save time on multiple installations
After cleaning the debris, remove the adhesive backed gasket
cover and install the Speaker in the opening. Use a
⅛” (3mm)
bit to drill the 4 pilot holes for the self-tapping SS screws
provided. Install the fasteners making sure not to over tighten
them. Install the snap fit speaker grill/cover.
Connect the audio and IR cables to the OEM harness. If no
wire harness is used connect as shown below.
