WARNING
This screen appears when the batteries are empty and must be charged. In this
condition laser can no longer be discharged.

When this appears, insert key pin into red connector.
WARNING
High Laser Power
Warning: laser power error. This message appears when the laser power level
may be outside the tolerance range. In most cases, however, this is due to
reflections on reflecting surfaces (wet and/or white surfaces). Please notify
our Service Department if you see this error message repeatedly.
WARNING
Low Laser Power
Error in the laser diode operation (laser power too low).
If you see this message repeatedly, the laser diode is most likely defective. In this
case please notify our Service Department.
LED display of laser power level: The green LED indicates that the laser discharge
is active.
LED display says “Error”: The red LED indicates that an error has occured. In this
case always check the message on the display.
Red safety connector where the key pin is inserted. By pulling the key pin you
will prevent inadvertent laser discharge.
Operation
Insert the red key pin into the red connector on the left (8) and turn on by pressing the POWER key (4). The display
now shows the following message:

The output data of the laser system (wavelength and max. output) are indicated in the second line. You can turn
the display (right-handed/left-handed users) with the “+” key (2). The sound (which is issued every 20 s during laser
discharge) can be turned on and off with the “-” key (2). When the loudspeaker icon is crossed out, the sound is
turned off.
