2. Installing

1. The speakers are manufactured to resist a variety of weather
conditions. However, they are not waterproof. If you decide to
install your speakers outdoors, position them so they will not
be exposed to the elements. The underside of most eaves and
overhangs provide the best protection for indoor/outdoor
loudspeakers.
Like all speakers, the sound is best when the speakers are
placed no more than 7 ft (± 2 metres) apart, ear level to the
listener. If the speakers are farther apart, toe them in toward
the centre of the room. Do not place them within 2 ft of a
television set or computer screen as these speakers are not
video shielded.
2. If your application requires your speakers to be mounted,
please follow these directions. Using the supplied hardware,
mount the bracket first. Attach the speakers to the brackets
using the supplied large plastic knobs. Never mount a speaker
on a wall made of unreinforced drywall or plasterboard. When
in doubt, consult a professional contractor.
3. The speaker terminals will accommodate up to 12-gauge wire. When
connecting the speakers, it is very important to observe the correct
polarity. This means that the wire attached to the (+), red or
positive terminal on one component must be attached to the (+),
red or positive terminal on the corresponding output terminal of the
component to connect. Similarly, the (-), black, negative or ground
terminal must be connected to the respective (-), black, negative or
ground terminal.
