8 .3 Exchange or shorten cable/rod
T he cable or rod (meas. part) of the probe can be shortened, if
necessary. To loosen the meas. part you need two fork spanners with
spanner width 8.
1 L oosen the measuring component by applying a fork spanner to
the flat surfaces (SW 8), provide counterforce with another fork
spanner (SW 8)
2 U nscrew the loosened measuring component manually
3 P lace the enclosed new double washer onto the thread.
Caution:
M
ake sure that the two components of the double washer remain
together.
4 S crew in a new measuring part manually
5 E xert counterforce with the second fork spanner and tighten the
measuring component on the flat surfaces with a torque of 7 Nm
(5.16
lbf ft).

lease keep the stated torque so that the max. tensile strength
remains.
T he cable and rod of the probe can be shortened by any amount.
