4 .1 General instructions
M ake sure that the wetted parts of the instrument, especially
the seal and process fitting, are suitable for the existing
process conditions such as pressure, temperature etc. as well
as the chemical properties of the medium.
Y ou can find the specifications in chapter "Technical data".
N ote the following points when selecting the installation
location.

S ide movements of the transmitter can cause measure-
ment errors
à Therefore, mount VEGAWELL 51 in a calm area or in a
suitable protective tube

e recommend the measuring instrument holder from the
VEGA line of accessory (article no. BARMONT.D) to fasten
VEGAWELL 51.

he connection cable has a capillary for atmospheric
pressure compensation
à Therefore lead the cable end into a dry space or directly
into a suitable terminal housing.

or this purpose, VEGA recommends VEGABOX 02. It
contains terminals and a filter element for pressure compen-
sation. A suitable protective cover is available for mounting
outdoors.
