The lotus® Water Treatment System reduces contaminants and impurities*
The carbon-block filter captures Mercury, Lead and Chlorine. What the carbon-block filter does leave behind are those
desirable, naturally occurring minerals, such as magnesium, potassium and calcium that give drinking water it’s great
taste. The carbon-block filter lasts about a year (approx. 365 gallons/1,400 liters).(**)(*)
lotus® Water Treatment System model LWT100/LWT100K with filter LWTRF1/LWTRF1K.
This system has been tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53 for the
reduction of contaminants specified on this performance data sheet. The concentration of the indicated substances in
water entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the permissible limit for water leaving
the system as specified in NSF/ANSI 42 and 53system as specified in NSF/ANSI 42 and 53
* Do not use (this carbon-block filter alone) with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without
adequate disinfection before or after the (carbon-block filter) system. Systems Certification for Cyst Reduction may
be used on disinfected waters that may contain filterable Cysts.
** Filter tested under standard laboratory conditions; filter life may vary depending on local water conditions. Tested
and verified by independent laboratory testing for the bacterial and Protozoa claims on the Performance data list on
page 16. NSF Certification for a microbiological claim is for Cyst Reduction only.
While testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions, actual performance may vary.
This system is equipped with a performance indication device. When the carbon-block filter nears the end of its life cycle,
the status indicator light on the control panel will begin to flash amber. There are two warnings that are displayed on the
control panel: Slow-flashing amber light; There are about one hundred processing cycles (or less) left on the carbon-block
filter, Fast-flashing amber light; There are about 50 processing cycles (or less) left on the carbon-block filter. When the
amber light is on continuously, the system will not process any more water until the filter has been replaced.
