- Lift out the lid with the fi lter and turn them around

before setting them aside (see fi g. 6).

- Open the rotary knob (6.1).
- Take out the old fi lter (6.2). Dispose of the used

fi lter in a dustproof sealed bag in accordance with
statutory regulations.

- Check the seal (6.3) for damage. Replace a dam-

aged seal immediately.

- Insert a new fi lter and close the rotary knob

(6.1).

- Reinsert the lid (6.4). Caution: do not damage the

fi lter when inserting!

- Reconnect the extraction pipe and compressed

air line.

- Close the two clips (2.5) and/or refi t the cover

(1.4).

Maintenance and care

Always remove the mains plug from

the socket and turn off the main switch
(1.1/2.1) before carrying out any mainte-
nance work!

All maintenance and repairs must be

carried out only by qualifi ed and skilled
personnel.

For maintenance, turn the rotary switch (1.13/2.14)
to the TEST position.
A safety test is to be carried out at least once a year
by the manufacturer or an instructed person, e.g.
for possible damage to the fi lter and leaks in the
appliance, and to ensure that the control devices
are functioning.
The bypass must be checked every 3 months to
ensure that it is working correctly: it must be pos-
sible to move (open) the fl ap (7.1) by pressing it,
and it must return automatically by means of the
spring force to the initial position (close).

Disposal

Do not throw the power tool in your household
waste!!
Dispose of machines, accessories and
packaging at an environmentally responsible recy-
cling centre. Observe the valid national regulations.

8 Warranty
Our equipment is under warranty for at least 12
months with regard to material or production
faults in accordance with national legislation. In
the EU countries, the warranty period is 24 months
(an invoice or delivery note is required as proof of

purchase). Damage resulting from, in particular,
normal wear and tear, overloading, improper
handling, or caused by the user or other damage
caused by not following the operating instructions,
or any fault acknowledged at the time of purchase,
is not covered by the warranty. Damage caused by
the use of non-original accessories and consum-
able material (e.g. sanding pads) is also excluded.
Complaints will only be acknowledged if the equip-
ment has not been dismantled before being sent
back to the suppliers or to an authorised Festool
customer support workshop. Store the operating
instructions, safety notes, spare parts list and proof
of purchase in a safe place. In addition, the manu-
facturer‘s current warranty conditions apply.
