• Slide the two hooks on the side discharge chute under the hinge pin on the mulching plug assembly. See
Figure 11. Lower the mulching plug. Do not remove the mulching plug at any time, even when you are not
mulching.

WARNING: Never operate the mower unless the hooks on the grass catcher are firmly seated in the slots
on the handle bracket assemblies, and the rear discharge door rests firmly against the top of the grass
catcher.
Both the mulch baffles must be in place while using the mower to mulch or side-discharge grass
