8. CUSTOMIZATION
8.8 EZ Hook-up
Graphically depicts possible schemes for connecting the DIRECTV ® High-Definition Receiver to your
dish antenna and other components. Since the connection that is best for you depends on the com-
ponents in your system, keep in mind that an alternative connection may also be possible.
To see EZ Hook-up:
1. Press the Menu button on the remote control to display the on-screen menu.
2. Scroll down using “ E ” on the remote control.
3. Select the Setup menu by pressing “ ”.
4. Scroll down to EZ Hook-up using “ E ”.
5. Press “ G ” to display the EZ Hook-up diagrams.
Seven possible hook-up connections will be shown.
6. Scroll up and down the hook-up figure options shown to determine
the correct connections for your system.
7. Press the Menu button to return to the previous screen or press the Exit button
on the remote control to return to TV viewing.
